The BEACH HUT may only be rented ( at an extra charge) when you hire our cottage.
Booking - Please phone to agree/reserve a date. We will then, either send you a form in the post along with our terms and conditions information or, if you prefer, you can read the information, terms and conditions on the web site , print out the booking form from the website yourself, or fill it in, sign it and send it to us by email or post. Please read the form and following information carefully. Your booking will be accepted on the understanding that the person making the booking is over 21 and that the terms here and on the booking form have been accepted.
N.B no pets in our cottage or hut. Both are Non smoking properties.
The completed booking form MUST, unless othewise agreed, be received by us within 7 days of agreeing your dates by phone. Your reservation will be confirmed in writing, by post or email, as soon as your deposit has cleared. This correspondence, along with the booking form and 'information, terms and conditions' will form the basis of the contract between you and us. Details of access to the property(ies) will be sent when we confirm that all payments have been received. Once your booking is confirmed, you are liable for full rental charges. We suggest that you take out your own holiday cancellation insurance.
A £200 reservation deposit is necessary to confirm your holiday booking which must be in writing on our booking form. (Full payment is due if your holiday starts in less than 8 weeks.) Any balance is due at least 8 weeks before the start of your holiday, along with any linen hire charges and the security deposit of £200 towards any breakages, damages or extra cleaning costs. The security deposit will be returned within 14 days after your holiday, when our cottage ( and hut if rented ) is left as it was found at the start of your stay. Should any damages or breakages occur we would expect you to pay for the repair or replacement in full.
Should you need to cancel your confirmed holiday, please let us know as soon as possible. We will try to relet , but recommend that you take out your own holiday insurance, as you will remain liable for the rent for the whole period of your booking should reletting not be possible. If relet, all deposits minus an admin fee of £25 and any expences incurred in re-letting, will be returned.
Duvets, pillows are provided. Bed Linen and towels can usually be provided at an extra charge.per person per week / short break ( sheet, pillow cases, duvet cover.) Beach towels are not provided. (Please do not take any of our towels to the beach.) see current charges.
On arrival, please read the safety information provided in the house folder and make your own risk assessment. Please let us know immediately if you have any concerns.
Bicycles can be stored ( at your own risk) in the garage, which is not used for a car. Please do not allow children to go into the garage. Please keep all doors and windows securely locked if the house is left unattended.
Free Parking for one car ( again at your own risk) is on a shared driveway with the attached cottage. Please park carefully in front of marked garage and make sure that our neighbour's garden access is not obstructed.
This is a holiday let only and renting it does not confer any other rights of occupation. The owners, or their representatives, reserve the right to enter the property at any reasonable time to carry out needed repairs.
Basic cleaning materials are provided. At the end of your stay please leave the cottage as you found it. Switch off all electric appliances, unless otherwise stated. Leave the boiler on summer setting.10degrees Please leave the fridge door open.
We do not accept liability for any loss or damage, injury or accident to the person or property of anyone in the tenants party who is staying at, or is visiting, the cottage or beach hut, or for any disruption or inconvenience, where the fault is not reasonably ours.
Should the property be unavailable on the holiday date ( for example, because of damage ) then all money paid will be returned without question. This will be the limit of our liability. Our liability will not exceed the amount of rent paid. Please arrange your own insurance.
Should the number of tenants exceed the number on the booking form, or, in the unlikely event of anyone in the tenants party (named on the form or not) giving us or our neighbours any cause for concern, we reserve the right to terminate the agreement between us without any refund and with immediate effect. We do not allow parties or events as we are in a residential neighbourhood. We do NOT allow any pets on the premises.
Communicating with you
To process your booking we will need to collect and process some personal information. We will send you, usually by email, information about Chestnutt Cottage ( access details, address etc .and also information that we think will be of interest. ) If you would rather that we did not communicate in this way, please tell us at the time of booking. You can email us at anytime to unsubscribe. We promise never to pass your details onto third parties.
Electrical items are not guaranteed. However, should any faults occur, please let us know and we will do our best to arrange a repair or replacement.
Arrive between 2.30.pm and 3.00pm ( or by arrangement.)
Depart by 10.30 am to allow the house to be checked and prepared for the new arrivals.
