Supporters waiting beside Susie's Cafe on Southwold Promenade to applaud the swimmers after their swim from the Pier to the Pub on Sunday 26th May.
One of the few swimmers who managed to battle against the tide, wind, current and waves to complete the race.
We thought at the time that the lifeboats and helicopters were on an exercise. In fact we heard later that they were there on a rescue mission.
