Trying to post a short film to my blog

i have been trying to post a short video  of a 3 min film, but have had no success so far. BUT - I have now looked on Google to see what I was doing wrong and hopefully this will work this time .

Actually, I don't expect I will be able to post the film as it is apparently in the wrong  format for a Weebly site, but I can explain how the film was made.

Our son filmed it as part of super 8 film challenge. The participants were invited to film a 3 minute film- with NO editing, before the films were shown in a Central London cinema to a large audience. He chose Easter Sunday and filmed it in Southwold - much of it from our beach hut. It is shot  from  one high tide to the next, so, In a 3 minute time slot.. shows 12 hours of this very special place on the edge of the Suffolk Heritage coast,

Imagine how nervous the filmmakers must have been. They had planned their filming , but had not seen if their ideas had worked out as they hoped. They were to see the finished results in the company of experts in their field. The film may not have worked at all. The light may have ruined it. Their plans might have failed completely.

We feel he  captures the timeless essence of a place where you can experience a traditional sea side holiday  building  memories for your family to last a lifetime. Those from my childhood resonate with me  still.

For the moment though, I cannot work out how to post the MP4, so if you would like to watch it I have posted it on my face book page, the  Southwold Holiday page and on  the Southwold Beach hut with nearby holiday page.
I hope you enjoy it.

I love this film. it was shot on Easter Sunday a few years ago by our son on super 8 film. He had accepted the challenge to shoot on a cine camera a 3 minute film and then,  send it , unseen and unedited to the organisers. Later the films were shown  -

We are a family of artists who love Suffolk and Southwold.

I am a paper maker with an  interest in  surface texture often using junk mail pulps to create  images of the Suffolk sea, , skies  and landscapes.
My husband Chris is an architect and illustrator.

I was a child in Southwold (my grandparents lived in Gun Hill Cottage).I am delighted to be able to share with  others the joy of 'feeling at home in this special town..'

When you holiday in Chestnutt Cottage , it comes with the very  special extra option of also renting, (for an extra charge) our Southwold beach hut, to  help you and your family build memories of the magic that is Southwold.
