"After a very early start, we arrived at Chestnutt Cottage about 9.00a.m . We set off walking across the marshes to the pier and then ran, as fast as we could, along the promenade to find our beach hut.

"We just love to have the sands and wide sea all to ourselves, finding that our holidays out of season are often the best, though admittedly we pack warm, wet weather clothing too. ".

We are a family of artists who love Suffolk and Southwold.

I am a paper maker with an interest in surface texture often using junk mail pulps to create images of the Suffolk sea, , skies and landscapes.
My husband Chris was an architect and illustrator.

I was a child in Southwold (my grandparents lived in Gun Hill Cottage and my brother and mother in * Lorne Road).I am delighted to be able to share with others the joy of 'feeling at home in this special town..'
